Our good friend Dave was involved in a horrible motorcycle accident.
Most people know Smiling Dave from all the ralies, that with his wife Tracy their business was selling sunglasses and t-shirts, and all kinds of biker gear. Other people know him and Tracy as the couple that both ride choppers. Or maybe running into either one of them at Detour or Dally's or any other biker stop and bike nights.
On the night of January 11, 2008 Dave was riding home across Mansfield dam when he lost control of his motorcycle and went down. He currently is still in a coma and his wife Tracy is told it will be a while before he comes to. He's a Brackenridge Hospital in ICU and will be transferred to Texas Neuro Rehab probably next week. He will remain there until he wakes up, they will work with him to aggressively do that, and then rebuild his life (his brain) see what he has to relearn (walk/talk). It could be 3 months before that happens, and maybe a full year before Dave is back to normal.
